Boosting Clear Current Capital’s LinkedIn Presence
Clear Current Capital (CCC) is a publicly funded venture capital firm, making early stage growth and impact investments in the alternative protein space. CCC’s focus on core impacts includes environmental, animal cruelty, and large-scale food industry inefficiency issues.
The Challenge
As a mission-driven company, it’s important for CCC to maximize its reach on social media. Having more followers and engagement on LinkedIn is especially important for attracting investment and promoting the VC firm’s portfolio companies.
CCC had 409 followers on LinkedIn and received an average of just over 5 reactions per post. The goal was to improve these metrics.
The Approach
I conducted a competitive analysis, focusing on four other VC firms in the impact space. The report included:
An analysis of each company’s top three posts.
A data comparison with the average amount of posts per month, the average amount of post reactions, and the amount of LinkedIn followers for each company.
A summary of the findings, including correlations and general trends.
Recommendations based on the findings to be implemented over the next few months. These included suggestions on post frequency, tagging and hashtags, and image use.
The Results
Clear Current Capital implemented the recommendations and increased its post frequency by 147%, with the following results:
An 83% increase in followers.
A 147% increase in the average amount of reactions per post.
